Since a few weeks I use the jnitodo todo list manager for managing my todo list.
jnitodo was written by myself,
so it matches my requirements quite well and it might match yours!

I often get the question how I manage to survive my long commute time
during the week. This question is often raised when in a conversation it
becomes clear that I travel over 4 hours per day by train. In this blog
post I will try to give a small insight in how I manage this.

I just reached the 1000 kilometer mark with my
recumbent bike.
It took me 46 hours and 24 minutes, averaging a 21.55 km/h speed.
The last month however my average cycling speed is increasing, so
I should do the next 1000 kilometer in less time.

Did the Blaster worm eradicate CodeRed?
By Jeroen van Nieuwenhuizen
On 11 August 2003 the Blaster worm hit the Internet. A few days after that I
noticed that the number of CodeRed infection attempts was rapidly dropping. I
examined the logs from 5 webservers, on different locations and in different
IP ranges and on all of them I saw a trend similar as the one shown in the
graph below.
As one can see the number of infection attempts in July is consequently
between 50 and 90. In August before the 11th this is just a little lower,
but after the 11th we see a drop in the infection attempts to below 10 a day.
I do not think it is coincidence that this drop happens at the same moment as
the Blaster worm was gaining moment and more people were patching there machines.
It therefor is my opinion that the Blaster worm made people more aware of the
need to apply patches and that it forced CodeRed to a less dominant position.
